Barclaycard Services, Project Management Learning
Barclaycard Services selected Parity's Training division to provide project management courses both because of our track record and because we showed an understanding of what Barclaycard were trying to achieve.
'We needed a company that would accept a partnership approach,' said Jan Foster, the IT Quality Manager at Barclaycard 'We wanted a significant input into the courses so that the trainers could help our people see what tools and templates already existed on the QMS and how these could help them. This was genuinely a two way process - as a result of the feedback we received from Parity we also had to do some rewriting of the QMS so that it was easier to understand and use.'
The programme required delegates to use a combination of MS Project 98, MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel as well as the electronic QMS. Although initially intended for the IT Department, the course has now been attended by managers throughout Barclaycard.
