Parity

Defence

Parity has been a major supplier of IS and IT advice, guidance, and support to the Ministry of Defence for over fifteen years. Parity were one of the first companies registered on the ICS catalogues and to this day we remain a major provider of services through this channel.

Parity is included in both the Applications Management and Total Solutions sections of the ICS Catalogue, and is one of only four supplies accredited to supply Oracle Consultancy. Uniquely, we do not just design and develop business critical IT solutions for the MoD - we also provide client-side support in the planning and introduction of some of the largest IT systems. Naturally, Parity can also provide services through the Framework Agreement for Technical Support.

Our long relationship with the MoD means that we are very familiar with the challenges that recent reforms have given rise to, and our Defence team has considerable experience of the MoD acquisition processes within DE&S.

Parity is also heavily involved in developing collaborative information management tools for the MoD – which leverages upon the work we’re doing for many other organisations in other sectors, both private and public.
Current assignments include:

• Support of major enterprise application projects (MMiT and MJDI)

• Development of a technology demonstrator application for Defence Training Estates

• Development of an Oracle-based application for Defence Estates

• Upgrading of MoD web sites and their underlying databases

• Providing a team to support the DII IPT during the implementation phase

Recent projects have included:

• Business process reviews for Land Forces

• Conduct of Post Project Evaluations of software intensive projects

• Applications development and support within HQ Land Forces

• Support of DE&S IPTs in their application assessment and migration

• Implementation of a workflow solution for the Disposal Services Authority
