ITILŪ v2 Qualifications
Parity will continue to provide ITILŪ v2 training to its customers who wish to complete programmes or who are not ready to change to v3 in the immediate future.
Although the v2 qualifications will eventally be withdrawn, the qualifications will not 'expire'. Any investment in these will therefore still have value in the future.
Eventually there will be suitable options for all these qualifications to upgrade to equivalent v3 qualifications. The v3 Foundation course ITILF delivers underpinning knowledge of ITILŪ v3 and provides the ideal opportunity to sit the Foundation Certificate which is a pre-requisite of higher level courses. Upgrade options for holders of v2 Foundation, Practitioner and Manager's Certificate is yet to be announced.
ITILŪ v2 Qualifications and Courses
Foundation Certificate
The Service Management Essentials course [SME] includes the v2 Foundation Certificate and will be available until at least December 2007, following that date the certification is being withdrawn.
Practitioner Certificates
Parity's range of v2 Practitioner courses will be available until at least November 2008, at which point the certifications are being withdrawn.
Manager's Certificate
Parity's v2 Manager's Certificate courses will be available until at least late 2008 allowing time to complete before the qualification is withdrawn in December 2008.
