Cisco career certifications were inspired by the success of the Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) program. Certification levels now include Associate, Professional and Expert.

The network support certification track is designed for professionals working with traditional Cisco-based networks that predominantly include LAN and WAN routers and LAN switches. The network design certification track is designed to prove the expertise of design and the network security certification track provides network professionals with recognition in designing and implementing Cisco secure networks.
